IMPORTANT – if you have any special requirements for your post, for example Special Delivery Guaranteed, Special Delivery Guaranteed, Royal Mail Air Mail (international), please inform Alexandra Weightman-Harton before 4pm. This allows her to make the nessecary provisions to ensure that all post will be delivered accurately and on time.

 

Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed Post

Special Delivery Guaranteed ensures that your urgent, valuable or important items will be delivered safely either before 9am or 1pm.

• This service starts from £6.45 (1pm) or £18.36 (9am).

• It allows you to track your item from the minute it is picked up to when it arrives.

• Requires a signature for confirmation of delivery.

• You will receive compensation if the item does not arrive at it destination.
   

RECOMMENDED - This service is recommended for any item that has financial value or is urgent.

 

Royal Mail Signed For Post

Royal Mail Signed For service provide confirmation of delivery when your item arrives at its destination.

• This service is tracked when the delivery is signed for.

• Compensation can be claimed up to £50 (excluding cash and jewellery)
   

RECOMMENDED – This service should be used for NON-valuable items, where confirmation of delivery is needed.

 

 

Royal Mail International Post

There have previously been occasions where the Post Office has issued fines due to international post being sent with a standard UK stamp.

 

Currently, there are separate trays for national (Royal Mail) and international (DHL) post, however they are not always used in this way.

 

As it will continue to be your responsibility to separate national and international post, more obviously separate trays will be used and you are kindly asked to use the appropriate tray for you national or international post to avoid these fines.
